true, and they did state many times over ... don't buy the game if you are not 100% sure you want it. Wait for release and reviews from your trusted reviewers, where you'll see how game looks like.

This is also true. And something I hope more people take into account.

Thing is, that 'trailer' really looked like gameplay footage captured in-engine, using some sort of developer 'cinematic mode' to capture it at different angles, and then edited together afterwards. As opposed to being CGI made by the marketing department...

Its convinient to claim otherwise, after publishing the 'trailer' at E3 too sell games. And say 'well its only a 'trailer' you shouldn't let it influence your impressions of our game'. Yes, yes we should, that is the purpose of trailers, and it looked alot like game footage... And you published it to do exactly this, and then you turn around and say.... That is some BS....

I think that people that are still screaming about the graphics (as if it's somehow bad) need to get a life. Seriously. The game is awesome and it looks great. If the graphics is all that you care about then go play Crysis 3. It's so shiny and fuckin' boring. Graphics whores will love it.

My main gripe here is not the downgrade but in how CDPR has handled this, they are now doing damage control and everything they say maybe legit, however, if they wanted to avoid the backlash and wanted to be seen as a good company, they should have come out upfront and stated the reasons that the game will not look like it did at E3.

The main issue is the fact up until we have been able to check this, they said fuck all. Basically I see it as a bait and switch that blew up in their faces. The reason I say bait and switch is because they were not forth coming about these things until it had already become a raging fire.

They fucked up and are now back peddling, were they wouldn't have had too if they were forth coming about issues they have been experiencing.

So the main question here should not be about the 'graphic' but on the business practice that they have used. This is truly what is wrong with the industry currently. These are in fact bait and switch techniques they are using, if you were promised a car that would have electric windows and heated seats but in fact it has neither of these features the car manufacturer would be in trouble, this is the exact same thing and these companies need to held to the same standards as other companies in other industries are.

If they inform you ahead of time and allow you to with draw your pre-order, if you have one, then fair enough but they wait for the backlash then try to resolve the issue, not cool.

Voting with your wallet is not working because the majority of people don't care about voting with their wallets they just want it. The sheep are part of the issue but they won't change, we need to change the industry and take actual action against them.

This has been going on far too long now for it just to be a coincidence at this point. Either they are not able to deliver what they are promising and not being forth coming with it or they can but are harming PC gaming so consoles don't look as out dated as they truly are.
