Witcher 2 GOG vs Steam

Is it just me or does the witcher 2 run better on GOG.
I prefer to have it on steam but the loading screen's aswell as bug's where on some cut seans just go blank screen on me.
Also if anyone on here has the 3rd one, can you notist a differnce between running it on Steam and GOG.[]()

. . . but GOG is so much better than Steam. Why would you rather have it on Steam? Are you a DRM sympathizer?!

I shouldnt talk though because I played TW2 on Steam myself :-/ I can't give you any performance reference though because I played it on my old rig that was already super old and out-of-date at that time.

I prefer steam when it come's to freind's - streaming and so on, aswell as their UI in genural.

As far as I know if Steam was to break down, you'll still be able to get / keep your game's ( best to have them backed up on a spare hardrive ) .
Yes theirs quite lot of thing's steam need's to get with the time's like embraceing moder's the right way aswell as to hire more people to check mods, green light out before hand aswell as customer servis.

Don't get me wrong, I do like GOG but only because hopefully they get's big enough to do what orgin/ubi have failed to do and get steam to stop rolling about in money and step their game up.
But with saying that my trust for GOG has more or less gone, it was bad enough with the whole useing pc to pretend its a xbox one content and even made sure the people in the camra was to show that their useing a xbox one controller.

With what I see with the witcher 2 differnce on steam and gog has just nearly killed my trust in GOG, if their is the same sorta issue on the witcher 3 then their obusly breaking it to get people to use GOG client.

This is not the case. There is no guarantee. If steam goes down you may lose access to all your games.

Gabe has already stated in the past that some sort of patch would be released to remove Steam authentication.

Although at this stage you could say that Steam has become too large to go under. If Valve ever ran into difficulty (not going to happen anytime soon) then I am sure another company would be interested in taking Steam onboard alongside its users.

Read the Steam user agreements and work it out for yourself.

It's in writing. Gaben's word can not out-weigh your legal agreement. You are NOT guaranteed a patch.

f00l what would make you think it was all the same? The orginal version on DVD from CDProjects is diferent from steam and GOG.

I also prefer the GOG version. I think I had the same problem you had with the Steam version, and I was able to fix the long loading times via deleting a ton of save files. The game auto saves/creates new saves constantly, and it builds up to a large size pretty quick. This, for some reason, causes extended loading times. As for the cut scenes, I never had any problem with those. I bought the GOG version of Witcher 3, as I wanted to directly support CDPR. It releases(Final unlock day 1 patch) in about a day.

for the witcher 2 i have the CD and GOG enhanced edition( GOG copy was included in the cd copy) i will take the cd version with patches (i am a physical media whore) over the GOG version. this being said there is nothing wrong with the GOG version works and plays just fine for me.
