I currently have a problem such that my new (~2 months) wireless card TP Link TL-WDN4800 only ever has up to 16Mbps upload speed and 50Mbps download speed (the ping is fine ~11ms). I am from the UK and my internet provider is BT under the service plan of "infinity 2" which has unlimited* data and promises download speeds of 65Mbps and uplaod speeds of 20Mbps.
My reason for concern is that my Android phone and tablet both achieve upload speeds of 20Mbps whilst further away from my router than my desktop (and also report a lower connection value in dBm than my desktop). Windows reports a connection speed of 144Mbps to my router (BT Home Hub 3) and is connected on the least congested channel via n. Does anybody have any tips/solutions to my problem or have any idea of the cause?
I am using W7 64 bit on my SSD, latest TP-Link drivers, router is up to date, more than capable machine (see profile).
My phone is a Samsung galaxy SIII running Perseus alpha 35 kernel and Null_21 rom
My tablet is a Samsung galaxy note 10.1 running Baked#8 with HumberOS kernel.
Check the drivers for the PCI card, as if it's reporting a 144Mbps link that is "Draft-N" speeds, which is not right considering that card supports dual band N which should run between 300-450Mbps.
If you can, check the power and noise of the wifi signal
