Right now I have to use wireless internet from my living room in my bedroom across the hall. I get good reception but I am limited to 54 mbps. Is there any faster wireless routers I could get for my computer or am I out of luck and have to be stuck with a slower connection using wireless?
802.11g 108mbps:

wtf, i don't get it, if you have an internet connection that is 8Mbps, why do need a router that is 1Gbps, it wont be any faster than 54Mbps??????
yo, if you want total fastest router you could possibly get, get a 802.11n router from lynksis, and then get an adapter for your laptop or desktop
also ur wireless network card has support 108mbps, if not than theres no point of getting a 108mbps router.
yeah, when i switched to fios, i was running wireless. i wasn't getting the full bandwidth i should've been getting because my wireless card was only 802.11g
my solution?! i ran 200ft of cat5 ethernet chord from my router to my computer
(its not 200ft away, it just took 200ft to install it nicely)
thanks for the answers, I will look into these routers
