Wireless driver for Fedora 30

Hello. I installed Fedora 30 on a spare computer recently to try it out for fun and I am trying to install a wireless card. I am using

this wireless card

I was looking at this

Guide

But my card is not Broadcom. I specifically avoided it because I heard those cards have issues with Linux. So my question is how to go about finding the proper wireless adapter for a Linux computer. All and any help is appreciated. Thank you.

https://rpmfusion.org/Configuration

Install the RPM fusion repos including tainted and then

sudo dnf install \*-firmware

Should acquire all the extra firmware you need

Alternative you can find just the one package .

Thank you so much. It works now. I had a lot of trouble getting it to work after I followed your directions then I realized it wasn’t being detected in the bios. Re-seating it didn’t work so I had to change the slot it was in.

Sin problema… I run this distro daily. I know it’s quirks. It’s good that your issue was a matter of hardware not software…
