hello, i’ve been trying all i could find on this error and i cant seem to figure out whats wrong, the DNS works, if i do nslookup i get the dns server, it resolves the hosts ip’s, but i cant ping them, when i do i get “DNS request timed out”
- deactivated windows firewall
- flushed the dns logs,used the winsock reset, registered again the dns…
- deactivated ipv6 on my network connection
- made the dns server use the address manually
- remade both zones of the dns server
thats some of the things i tried, but my brain is mush after 4 straight hours of trial and error without any progress.
what i need is simple, i just need to be able to ping the addresses, the dns server seems to be able to resolve the ip’s but the pings wont go through, and i have no idea what else i could do.
