So I’ve been trying to get No Man Sky running on wine on an AMD GPU. I’ve gotten the game to launch through steam and everything works apart from graphic rendering. The game will load, menu’s will work and so will sound but I will only see a white apart from the HUD (which isn’t rendered). I found out no man’s sky uses openGL 4.5 which mesa doesn’t fully support yet. So I figured that was the issue. But running the game with MESA_GL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=4.5COMPAT and MESA_GLSL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=450 should resolve the issue. Steam confirmed that it is now running on openGL4.5 but I am still getting the white screen.
Is there another setting or argument I’m missing?
