Windows y u no boot? ._

I just put together a build for a friend of mine, and i installed a totallly(not)legit version of Windows 7, i install the updates, and Somewhere around update 135~ the screen goes black, but the computer is still running, i suspected that it might be a gfx driver problem, but i cannot boot into the OS, not even through safe mode.

The windows startup repair does nothing, and when i try to boot up the computer it freezes on the windows logo.

The computer also displays "A2" when i boot it up in the right bottom corner.

Part list:

Any ideas?

1.Since you are installing a pirated copy of Win7 an update that you may have installed can detect activation exploits. Update KB971033 is known to update WAT and detects activation exploits. Control Panel > Windows Update > View Update history. I suggest purchasing a copy of Win7 when possible. The number of the update is irrelevant as the title of the update and # label assigned cannot be viewed at the same time.

2. I do not suggest using windows repair, prioritze boot order to CD, boot from the .iso and try.

3. Looking at your MSI Z77A-G45, there is no status LED. I am guessing that A2 alert corresponds to a status labeled in your friend's mobo manual.

4. My recommendation, since it is a fresh install, do it again without the updates. I would not use the pirated .iso as I have experienced trouble working on friends computers, often paired with longer boot times. Digital Rivers provides direct downloads of the Windows to at least test the rig. And you can use it for 30 days befores it gets mad.

That seemed to work, I have installed a legit (trial) version of windows 7 professional, and installed all the updates.

but when i try to install the GFX driver it halts(forever) on the "Starting Windows" boot screen.
