Windows Vista(32-bit) to Windows 8(64-bit)

Curious if anyone knows the answer to this. I'm searched mutliple sites, contacted Microsoft but they didn't seem to have a clear answer.

I'm using Vista Home Premium (32-bit) for a while. When I run the Microsoft Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant I get the option of upgrading for $39.99 (seems like a good deal) I'd love to upgrade but of course I'd hate to upgrade to another 32 bit operating system.

Does the clean install option give you the ability to install the 64 bit version of Windows 8 or do you just receive the same copy as Vista 32 bit? I know upgrade without a clean install wouldn't be possible from 32 - 64 bit but what about a fresh install (create an ISO or bootable USB device)

Thanks a bunch!

im just oder a disc copy of the OS they come with both 32 64 bit disc thats easier for you hope i helped & checkout neweggs youtube channel they upload 2 videos showing off the OS of win8

as far as i know you cannot do a clean install unless you buy the system builder disk, the upgrade copys only let you upgrade frorm within windows which you couldnt do from 32bit to 64bit, I could be wrong but thats what I read
