I have a physical box running Windows Server and I need to clone the SSD and minimize downtime. My go-to for this would be Macrium Reflect, but Windows Server is not supported in the free version and I’ve already used up my free trial of the Server version on this box a long time ago.
My backup solution will be to shutdown and use CloneZilla, but it will be a pain. Can anyone suggest any other applications I can use to do a live clone of a Windows Server OS?
I would just pay for Macrium, but I don’t want to pay the $300 they want for the Server version, for a home use
Windows Storage Migration Service supposedly can migrate everything and then change the name, set IP, and cut over. But I haven’t gotten it to work for me.
Try some of the Easeus products, last time I used it there was free edition that worked on Windows server. It was few years ago, so maybe it changed in the meantime.
It was annoying back than with all the registrations, but just give them a fake email, IIRC it gives you download link on the page, not via email. Or a burner email.
