Windows Security logs blowing up

I have no idea what's going on, I'm not a super advanced user, but advanced. I don't know if this is a serious issue, or if I should disable this, but it's writing nonstop logs and making it look like someone is trying to get access to my pc. This is my office rig that I do light gaming on, not much else.

Windows 8.1, using Win firewall, no AV software except I scan with Malwarebytes and Spybot S&D. Let me know if you need any more info.

Here's an image of what I'm seeing.

Event id: 4624 and 4797 are the ones I'm seeing nonstop every few minutes in huge bursts.

I'm hoping this is Windows itself. Googling it shows tons of people with the same issue, but no clear explanation, also nobody seems to think this is serious, I'm probably worrying too much. Thanks for any input. Oh also, will this affect my performance at all? I do a lot of rendering and gaming on this rig.

The messages in themselves are harmless, they are probably being caused by a process running under your user credentials. You could review what services and processes are set to auto-start when you log in and you could use a tool like process explorer to see what is going on and causing them.

Seeing frequent entries into the security log is common and nothing usually worth worrying about. Defining what is usual for your system is a bit harder, especially if you don't look at it frequently. If the log has not been recycled you can filter by date to see if the entries have recently increased in number etc.

With regards to degrading performance, it's unlikely, you can use performance monitor to collect data over a specific time period to monitor CPU, Memory and disk activity. If its causing a problem you should spot it there. As with all things to squeeze the last ounce of performance you should disable apps that are not in use or required e.g. do you really need AV software running all the time and scanning every file? EDIT - I see said you don't, but check other installed apps as well.

Thanks for the input, greatly appreciated. It isn't affecting performance in any way as far as I can tell, and seems kind of regular. I'm gonna take some time to see which process it is, but it seems harmless.

Thanks again :)
