Windows says my i3-3240 has one core

I started to get terrible frame rates in my games, so I opened up SpeedFan to see if heat was the issue. But it says I only have one core, as does Windows. It says 1 Cores, 2 Logical processors. How do I fix it to say I have 2 cores?

Reset CMOS, Check bios settings, load fail-safe defaults, check your chipset drivers in windows (maybe you installed something you shouldn't have?), reinstall windows.

Are you using 32-bit windows?

SOLVED. Undid a Maks Hack. In msconfig, I put number of cores as 2 under advanced boot settings. Unchecked, rebooted, and problem solved
