Im building my first pc and I was wondering if I should use linux or windows 7.
Why not both ?
It depends on what you'll be using the PC for and if you have experience using linux?
Aye, try dual booting. See which you prefer, use whatever suits you.
Im using it primarily to play games.
If you're primarily gaming I would certainly say you're best off going with Windows, Linux still isnt quite on par with the whole gaming scene ... Though it's been making leaps in the right direction.

If you're playing games, then Windows without question. BUT i do recommend sometime in the future that you get a seperate hard-drive or flash drive and try out Linux.
I agree if you're wanting to game without a hassle go with Windows, but maybe consider trying Linux in a VM to see how you like it.
yeah windows is compatible with more games so for gaming go with that, but you could dual-boot so you have both :D
yeah and as @LinuxForYou said windows is for hassle free gaming.. for the most part .happy gaming ! :D
