Windows not installing

Ok so I've booted up my new pc for the first time and im loading windows 7. Im at the screen where its asking me where to install windows, and nothing is under the list. there is a sign at the bottom saying "No drives were found. Click Load Driver to provide a mass storage driver for installation." Then it tells me when i click load driver that no signed device drivers were found.

Please help!

Another thing is that I only have a sata cable going to my hard drive, will my hard drive still get power?

Btw On the windows 7 box it says upgrade designed for windows vista, so does this mean I need to have another type of windows already installed or does it even matter?

If anyone could, can one of you link to a good torrent for windows xp that i can put on a usb drive so I can just use my upgrade windows 7

Is the hard drive showing up in your bios?  did you create a RAID array?  If the drive does not show up in the bios then you should check that the cables are connected, if you created a RAID array then you need to install the RAID drivers before you can install windows.  you could also try putting the HD into an enclosure and see if another computer can see it.

how do i install raid drivers if i dont have windows installed?

There is no drive showing up because you also need a SATA power cable going to the drive. The regular SATA cable is for data only.

Hard drives are not the same as something like a iPod or smartphone where data and power are provided through a single cable.

Thanks man ill see if that works

UPDATE: I just went and bought a sata power cable, and now its working! thanks a lot
