Windows Laptop Comparable to a Macbook Pro

Not sure if this is the correct section for this. Anyways, my cousin spilled lemon juice into her couple year old Macbook Pro. She desperately wants a new Macbook but can't afford it. I have been trying to convince her to get a Windows based laptop for a long time now. I was wondering if you guys could give me some suggestions on some Windows laptops that are pretty equivalent in terms of specs to a Macbook but for a couple hundred dollars less. The Apple store quoted her $700 to fix it. I can do it but she won't let me unfortunately. It is a couple years old now so I told her she can either pay $700 to get her Macbook with hardware from a couple years ago back or spend approximately the same or a little more to get something with the newest hardware. The only spec that doesn't matter is the 2560 x 1600 retina display. A 1080 display is fine. So, anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

I was thinking something like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152463

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/983615-REG/asus_n550jv_db71_15_6_notebook_computer.html this one looks amazing, with the amazing aluminum build quality it will feel like a mac book pro, it has an I7 and a gtx 750 built in to provide amazing performance on that beautiful 15inch 1080p display.

The best bang for the dollar is the Lenevo IdeaPad Y510p. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834313583

It's about $100 more than the ridiculous price for the repairs, but has enough power for most users. Though you can find cheaper laptops like this Lenevo Z710 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834313581 if you want to stay within the $700 range. You still get a 1080p screen and discrete graphics that are more than capable for daily use. The Y510p however has two 750m in SLI.

I have pretty much this same machine. (I have the i7-4500U and a GT 745M).

Seriously great laptop. Really fast, gorgeous display and excellent build quality. Not to mention the B&O Audio which makes it sound amazing for a laptop and really works great with a decent set of cans.

ASUS k series...

I have the K53E, and it's about equivalent to an MB pro that costs $1200, and it was $500 at best buy...

Thanks guys. I'm going to look over them all and compare so I can bring her a couple choices. I think so far she will like that first Asus one best as it almost looks like a Macbook too.
