Hello all. Recently i got a samsung 840 evo for my PC and got my OS on it. I will go to my windows explorer to look at files and on random occasion (i would say 1 in 10 times) when i open it up its blank for a solid 10 seconds before anything pops up. Any possible reason this might happen?
If there is also one or several mechanical drives in the system then explorer could be waiting for them to wake up from sleep. The default idle time before putting a mechanical drive to sleep is 20 minutes in recent versions of Windows, which can be changed under the Power Options advanced settings.
