Windows equivalent to mac osx time machine? does it exist?

i recently bought myself a backup drive and would like to know if there is a windows backup software that works similarly to OS X' time machine

  • easy to set up
  • clean interface
  • periodical automatic backups
  • different "image states" (dont know if this is the proper technical name)

i dont mind paying for a great piece of software as long as the price is reasonable and it gets the job done

i set up file history last night, but im not too sold on it yet

I'm still on xp... need to find a time machine equivalent. maybe if i eventually upgrade to another windows version.

Crashplan. It's free and awesome. I use it for my NAS but you could just back up to whatever you want.

yeah, i should upgrade or transfer fully to linux.
