Windows disk formating

Can someone give me a very leymens rundown of Dynamic disks vs Basic/simple disks. I am just formating a game drive, but i still wanna know.

A quick google search says dynamic disks are deprecated and replaced by storage spaces. Scrolling down a bit from there, as expected, dynamic disks is a windows software raid solution.
Basically, you want to stick to basic/simple disks, as dynamic disks only adds complexity that is not useful for your use as a game drive.

Simple disk = your drive stores data on that drive, 1:1 physical in one place copy
Dynamic disk = your system treats multiple drives as one drive and mixes the data across all drives, either to add redundancy, improve performance, or make multiple disks appear as a single unified drive to optimize space. It’s a software RAID solution, and you do not need it.
