So i am kinda fucked now as my pc just died and i dont know what to do, i know this isnt tech support but there are alot of smart guys here who might know the answer to my question.
so the story is i was just browsing tek syndicate as my computer blue screend so me just thinking that it justed derped for a sec i restartet it and selected "start windows normaly" after that nothing more happend i only get a black screen. i tried it multiple times still nothing
at first i thought my gpu might be fried so i took that out and used my onboard still nothing happend only that i now get a blank blue screen instead of a blank black screen, after i tried that i thought my HDD might have crashed so i put it in an external inclosure and all my data was still there and it wasnt making any weird noises
i am puzzeld why my pc wont boot up normaly any more. please somebody help me i just got black mesa and i am dying to play it but i cant
go in and start diconnecting stuff till it works like graphics cards, ram if you have mulitple sticks
wierd question, does the power led blink/ different colour than normal, that's a good sign of a bad power supply
Does booting in safe mode work?
well the problem is i dont have any leds on my pc i thought stealthing it out would be smart well that was stupid then, but it hink that might be a possibility it was a cheap psu still 80+ bronze but cheap and 430 watt for a 7770 an 3 core apu bunsh of fans a pump and a HDD is kinda pushing it i think, well i think ill ghetto rig an led in and watch if it does anything weird
no booting in safemode doesnt work also get a black screen on that, i really confused because its posts so i dont think any thing is wrong with the hardware because if the gpu or the ram was busted it would even get to the selection screen were you can choose safemode and such right
430 is plenty for that system would be surprised if it used more then 200watts at full load. Put in your windows cd and boot to it and do the repair option and that should fix it
boot off of a live stick of linux (if you can), and copy your personal files over to a flash drive or external hdd first.
then re-format and re-install windows
