Windows defender error code 0x80073afc - help?

This is the message I get when i try to start windows defender as of last night

"An error has occurred in the program during initialization. If this problem continues, please contact your system administrator.

Error code: 0x80073afc"

I've used ccleaner, spybot, and microsoft safety scaner. still getting the message. What happens is when I start ArcheAge (mmo game) itll just take forever and go so slow, and my machine with turn to shit. So i looked in the task manager and "Antimalware Service Executable" is taking up 100% of the disk space. This only happens when I start Arche Age. I have uninstalled the game and anything else that looks fishy and all the scans I do come back clean. But i still get this error when trying to start windows defender :(

I also dont have a restore point I can go back to... and really hope I don't have to factory reset my machine.

If you are running other anti-malware applications along with windows defender, I suggest just disabling defender.
Right click on "My Computer/This PC" and choose Manage.
Scroll down until you see Windows Defender Service.
Right click > Properties
Change the startup type to Manual, and stop the service.
Try your game.

If this works you can create an icon that disables windows defender when ever you start the game. I doubt Archage is the problem. It's most likely a false positive that is screwing up defender. (Defender is kinda crappy to begin with. It's pretty much Microsoft's bare bones antimalware "the least we can do" attempt at antivirus.)
