Windows crashed when waking up from sleep

I have recently been running into this issue where everytime my computer wakes up from sleep I get a BSOD. I am usually faily good at resolving computer issues, however, I have exhausted every possible "solution" that I can possibly find/think of. The following errors appear in Event Viewer in the order they occured:

  • Windows failed to resume from hibernate with error status 0xC0000001.
  • The previous system shutdown at 4:32:49 PM on ‎5/‎2/‎2013 was unexpected.
  • The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.
  • The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck.  The bugcheck was: 0x000000c4 (0x0000000000000091, 0x0000000000000002, 0xfffff803137dd880, 0x0000000000000000). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 050213-9906-01.
  • Custom dynamic link libraries are being loaded for every application. The system administrator should review the list of libraries to ensure they are related to trusted applications. Please visit http://support.microsoft.com/kb/197571 for more information.

I realize the last bullet point is not an error but I am not going to leave anything out. The above event log can be downloaded from my site (http://vectorgaming.net/uploads/event_logs_5-2-13.evtx). I ran perfmon /report and received one an error with a device driver not being installed properly. (You can view the report here: http://vectorgaming.net/uploads/perfmon_report_05-02-13.html).

What I have Tried to Solve This Issue:
  • At first I thought this problem could be due to an overheating graphics card. So I tried manually setting the fan speed on the card to 65 (previously set at 37). The card now runs at a decent temperature, 50C.
  • Next I tried disabling the Fast Startup mode in Power Option > System Settings. This did not work either.
  • I then opened device manager and tried updating the GPU driver. It was already fully up to date so this did not solve anything.
  • Next I tried disabling this "Unknown driver." This did nothing, still crashed. I tried uninstalling it, however, it re-installed itself.
  • Ran a memtest. No errors with 6 passes.
  • Ran Malwarebytes which came up with seven possibly malicious files. The files have been removed. A log of the files removed can be found here: http://pastebin.com/vRsCvkVL
  • Removed AVG 2013 Free Edition. This got rid of the registry errors and the ScRegSetValueExW error.
  • Ensured the MD5 Hash for svchost.exe matched what it should. I would check lsass.exe also, however, I could not find it in System32.
  • Refreshing the PC using the Windows 8 refresh feature. This did not solve the issue, still crashes.
  • Tried resetting the PC. Did not solve the issue.
I have no clue where to go from here. This issue is seriously annoying me and I cannot seem to get rid of it. I will not give up until it is solved though. I would greatly appreciate any help that could be given!

This feature has never worked well in 8, delete the hibernate file and make a new one. Its probably corrupt.

Also all bsod's are linked to hardware failures so start checking windows manager logs for hardware errors.

Also try updating all drivers, that might help the resolve the issue

upload files from c:/users/minidump

I can analyze the .dmp files and probably find the faulting driver.

"Also all bsod's are linked to hardware failures so start checking windows manager logs for hardware errors."

FALSE. at least 75% of all bsods are from conflicting or faulty drivers.

i stand corrected

Sleep in windows has always been kind of sketchy. I had to take off my afterburner OC on my 6950 because Catalyst would crash upon waking up. Hated that shit.

I am not sure how helpful these will be as they seem like complete jiberish to me but here you go: http://vectorgaming.net/uploads/minidumps_05-02-13.zip

I believe all drivers are fully updated. There is, however, one driver that is listed as "Unknown" and isn't able to be update. It also throws an error when I run the Performance Monitor.

My issue is with the computer waking up from sleep, not from hibernation. Also I dont think deleting hiberfil.sys would do anything in my situation as far as I know because the computer does not right out the RAM to the hard drive when it simply goes to sleep.

first off, driver verifier is running. open command prompt as admininstrator, and run verifier /reset and reboot.

also:

Realtek PCI/PCIe Adapters

update that.

and DV is flagging your nvidia drivers. update tham.

the analysis summaries are pasted here: http://pastie.org/7756455

I ran verifier /reset and cmd returned "No settings were changed."

I am not exatly sure what to download at that link. I clicked on the link at the very bottom of the page(Screenshot: http://puu.sh/2LRWb.png, Link: http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=7&PFid=10&Level=3&Conn=2).

As soon as I sent that last message I realized after I recently reset my computer I forgot to download the latest nvidia driver. I downloaded that and ran a clean installation.

I finally managed to figure out what the unknown driver was by searching the hardware id of the driver. It ended up being an "Intel Smart Technology" driver (Driver URL: http://goo.gl/qoJEm). Not very "smart" to me if it doesn't know how to install itself properly in the first place.. :P

I am still having the issue with my computer not being able to sleep though. These are the errors that are occuring:

  • Windows failed to resume from hibernate with error status 0xC0000001.
  • The previous system shutdown at 11:23:37 PM on ‎5/‎3/‎2013 was unexpected.
  • The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.
  • The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x000000c4 (0x0000000000000091, 0x0000000000000002, 0xfffff801c0fc2880, 0x0000000000000000). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 050313-11671-01.
You can donwload the dump file from my website here: http://vectorgaming.net/uploads/minidump_05-03-13.zip

I would appreciate the analyzation that you preformed previously! I would be very grateful! :D

run sfc /scannow in command prompt. reboot then run it again. if it doesn't come back clean, repeat once more. I'll look at the dumps in the morning.

go to this forum and post there. http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f299/

please link me to it when you do. it's where I go for tech support when I can't figure out what's wrong.

I have created a new thread on that forum (link). sfc /scannow seemed to get rid of the previous error that I had experienced but now I am experiencing a new one. More info is on that new thread.
