Windows booting on second monitor

The other week i got a secondary monitor, it is plugged into my graphics card using a dvi to vga adapter. my main monitor is a 27" connected also to the graphics card using hdmi. When my pc turns on, it posts on the second smaller monitor. I'm wondering how i can make it boot on the main monitor. Gpu is a msi gtx970

My original response I meant I had a issue with the monitor waking from sleep. Getting the monitor to post on the main screen you want probably has to do with what output the graphics card scans and detects first.

I do not know for sure but I think it picks a specific output and boots from it I do not think you can change it unless you move your monitors around like swap the cables. I don't know why it matters in the end anyway when it gets to the login screen it moves to the correct window.
