Recently got a Laptop for Uni. Started running fine, no real problems as far as I could see, but recently it has really slowed down. I am not expecting super fast, but with an i5 and an small SSD for booting, I am thinking around the 10s mark from power up to use. Hell, i'd settle for 20-30s right now! But it is taking minutes upon minutes. Even using windows Store is slow. I thought i'd try and go for the 8.1 upgrade and see if that'll fix my issue, but alas, I can't even load my updates. Any advice!
I am going to do a System Restore as soon as the damn thing boots. Thanks to Logan I used PCDecrapifier, so I have a restore point from practically factory settings.
