Hello everyone, I need some help, I bulit my very own gaming PC and decided to try Ubuntu for the first time on it, only problem is the Wireless card drivers don't support ubuntu.
So, I considered Bridging connections, it have it working on Windows 8, but I go over to Ubuntu and I get the connecting icon for the longest time, untill it gives up.
I am open to any suggestions, so please do help if you can.
If your wireless card is not supported by linux (which means it's an older card), you can use the windows drivers in linux. Search for "using windows wireless drivers" on the ubuntu forums to see if your card is in the list of cards that require windows drivers, and to see what you have to download from the software center to make it work.
Really, you are that hateful of a wireless connection? I use it because it's a more convient solution than drilling holes through my floor and running an ugly cable to my router.
For now, I shall hold back my hatred for closed-minded prople like you.
Update: Why have nearly all of the comments been removed?
And second, The hard drive failed, it was an old drive anyway, I found a new one and installed 13.04 on it and it detected it and started using it instantly, so thank you for all the help.
