Windows 8 for my gaming PC?

If I'm just going to be playing games on my PC, would I benefit from having Windows 8 as my OS or should I just get Windows 7? I'm aware that Battlefield 4 will take advantage of Windows 8 so I would get better performance in that specific game. Also, I would be future proof to next-gen games. Just wondering if I shouldn't bother getting Windows 8 and get 7 if I'm just playing games.

Windows 8 for sure. Nearly all games benefit from windows 8 in some way, some smaller than others but windows 8 will last after windows 7 becomes obsolete

Yeah, I believe in benchmarks, games are a faster (though not sure how much by) in windows 8 :)
