Windows 8.1 installation isn't detecting my raid array

Just finished building my PC, the raid is functional as per raid set up menu however windows 8.1 isn't detecting it when itooks for a drive to install too. The included driver cd with my mobo (crosshair V formula z) includes 4/5 raid drivers I have tried them all however the raid remains undetected. I cannot find appropriate drivers on AMD and asuses websites.

Any and all help would be appreciated.

Go to the mother board website and get the drivers there you will have to load them at time of install from a USB stick

Thanks Taco bell, after 2 days of struggling and being frustrated being unable to find the appropriate driver I eventually just gave in and installed windows onto one of the SSD's. It's mighty fast, and I've got the other one as a game library now or a video storage drive.

Hello,

I know it is too late now, but maybe in the future this may or may not apply to you. I remember back with Windows XP, it would not detect newer laptop drives (AHCI or similar) and only the manufacture recovery partition works for example. I remember using a program called nLite which you use to integrate drivers into the Windows install disc it self. This would allow XP to see the drive. Perhaps the same must be done with Windows 8.1? Maybe sometime when your bored give it a shot. I think WinReducer is the nLite for Windows 8 - to slipstream drivers and such.

In any case, good luck!
