Windows 8.1 Dual Monitors

Hi.

I built my friend a gaming PC yesterday and we realised we can use his old monitor as a second monitor. I don't have much experience with multi-displays. He was wondering if it is possible to make windows open on the monitor that the icon is clicked on. So say the monitor on the right is the main monitor and he has chrome minimised. He moves his mouse to the taskbar on the monitor on the left and clicks the chrome icon. Then chrome opens on the monitor on the right because that's where it was last. Is there a way to make it so that when he clicks on an icon on the monitor on the left's taskbar so that it opens on the monitor on the left?

Thanks

You'll need virtual desktop. It's default thing on Linux. You can find free applications that will do that on windows.

My suggestion would be Display Fusion.
