hello everybody I just recently upgraded my operating system from a windows vista bit to a windows 7 home premium and...everything went well windows 7 was installed. I put some of my software back, my music, etc but...my computer kept crashing and a blue screen poped up. I thought that the worse was over but it has continued to crash muitlpe times and I've been getting very frustrated I updated windows, but it just freezes and then crashes. I could really use the help and I would really appreciate it thaank you. this is my first time installing and operating system and also the disc was given to me by my friend he says that he hacked it so I wouldnt need to use a product key.
Well ask your friend who "hacked" it. It's kinda hard for us, who have no idea what he's done, to it to tell you what to do.
For a genuine copy, go to this link. Download the ISOs there and use the Windows 7 USB DVD download tool, and use that as your boot. Your version can be very unstable since it was an illegitimate installation (provided your friend did modify the ISO used to install Win. 7 onto your PC), which can explain the constant BSODs. If further assistance is required, we'd be glad to help.
Yeah, then you just download a patch to prevent your computer from checking with microsoft about authentication. You may also need to acquire a product key.
