So, around about may next year i am planning on building a computer. And from browsing on this forum i've been seeing a lot of people telling others to pirate the OS instead of buying it.
Basically what i'm asking is how do i do it, and will there be any difference between purchased and pirated OS?
You wont get any support from microsoft for one thing if you pirate. You should always try to buy the OS in my opinion, unless you absolutley have no budget for it. But in that case you can pirate it and buy a key later. Not from those websites that offer keys for $20 or less, they are fake. You will need to buy an O.E.M copy for $99 to get the key. You do get a 30 day period in which to provide a key if you do pirate, but after this time you are restricted in what you can do untill you get a key. In the end its only $99, so if you can buy it when you build it, do so. Unless you can put up with linux for a while, thats free after all.
The only difference between a pirated version of Windows and a purchased version is that the pirated version bypasses the activation step, besides that, there are no difference. As for the question on how to actually do it, there are some guides out there on the internet, you can simply just google it. EX. "How to get windows 7 ultimate for free"
