Windows 7 Randomly powering down

I did a fresh install of windows 7 and now it's randomly powering down. I just replaced the powersupply with a new NZXT Hale 90 v2 1000w so that shouldn't be the issue. It's boots fine but right when I open up steam and start to download games, BAM, the screen goes black. The computer is still running but the screen is black and the monitor's (x-star 1440p) blue button is just blinking. Has anybody else had this issue?

Cpu: 3770k
Motherboard. MSI GD-65
GPU: 780TI
Ram: kingston hyperx 16 gigs
SSD: Kingston 240
HSS: Seagate 4tb

Switch it to performance?

could be an issue with the gpu driver.
do you have the latest Nvidia gpu driver installed?

I'll take a look. I installed the nvidia thing but maybe didn't check for the new drivers
