I recently bought an oem product key for windows 7. But I can't find an instalation iso for it.
Link removed
Just kidding lol.
No linking to pirated software etc!
Thanks.
They won't let me because it is an OEM key.
Then you need to get the OEM install media.
preferably from the ass hat who sold you the key.
I hope this helps.
You could ask around to see if some one has a install disc you could use. or torrent an untouched version of the install media as MS wants a non OEM key. ( Remove that if it still breaks the rules. )
I use getintopc for that kind of thing. You can download ISO's of trial versions of a fair few windows OS versions (All the way back to XP) which you should be able to activate with the OEM key. Never tried with an OEM key though, worth a shot.
I bought from Kinguin.net. I knew it was an oem key. My bad for not doing my research. I thought all I needed to do was grab an iso, convert to usb, then install on my second ssd. I will have to ask some friends if they have a oem install disk. If not I will just by a regular key when I get some money again.
In my experience, you cannot activate a OEM key during the install, unless you have the OEM disk. However, once installed, you can usually do it after a reset. Just make sure your key and OS version match up.
You can run slui_3.exe in CMD to pull it manually.
Try contacting the OEM's support channels, they might provide a download link once you let them know you have a key.
The only hurdles you might run into are if the company requires a service tag or serial number for the hardware. I've never requested an iso from an OEM so I don't know what tricks they would pull. Personally, if they asked me I'd play the generic user card and say that the tags are all gone due to a little sibling or child peeling the stickers.
Just do some homework and find a computer station they sold with that version of the OS so it's more believable.
Np, just go here OP. And yes these are the legit versions.
There in German. That is kind of a problem.
the iso may be from a german site but it should contain several language packs by default. also since it's most likely a iso intended for europe it may not contain internet explorer.
the english ones are marked with
en_*
Yes those are official iso´s indeed.
WOW that makes me feel stupid. I tried these before even asking here, and of course didn't scroll down and just downloaded the german ones. Thanks for helping.
i had to download original ISO on torrents... cuz microsoft... dont worry, checked sha1
btw you can resell OEM keys in EU - i got bunch of cheap win 7 pros. All you need is re-activation over phone, nothing hard
lol np dude, did the same myself when i first went there xD
