If i got to windows updates and do all the updates will i automatically have the latest and greatest drivers for my motherboard and graphics card?

Not necessarily. When you get drivers from Windows Update, you will get working, stable drivers that have Microsoft's seal of approval. The best way to get the latest and greatest drivers is to get them from your hardwares' repsective manufacturer's website.
