I put windows 7 on my netboox for convenience and the fact its the only thing that isn't slow but I have to keep selecting my KB layout. There a way around this or is this indefinitely retarded?
@DeusQain if you have any suggestions please let me know. <3
Keep selecting the KB layout in wich situations? If it's only every time you boot the system you could write a little script that sets it up on boot (I don't remember the extension you need to use on Windows for scripts but I'm sure you're smart enough to find it for yourself).
No its WHENEVER I choose a text box or window. It has nothing to do with on boot. It looks like they tried to fix it in 8 and 10 but XP was the last one you could freeze it to DV it seems D: I can't find anything on it other than "write a bash script kekekek"
Oh well sorry if I said the same thing too but I didn't know it was on every text box. I don't know how to fix that actually. If it's not a function part of Windows I don't think you can't get away with it if the keyboard itself doesen't have a physical switch on it to change layout.
Windows 7: Configure the "Regional and Language Options" settings 1. Click Start, click Run, type intl.cpl in the dialog box, and the click OK. 2. Under Clock, Language, and Region section, click Change keyboards or other input methods. 3. Click Change keyboards. 4. On the Settings tab, click Add. 5. Select the language that you want in the Input language list, and then click OK. 6. Select the language you want in the Default input language list. 7. Click OK two times.
a registry trick like this may also work. 1. Start the registry editor (regedit.exe) 2. Move to HKEY_USERS.DEFAULT\Keyboard Layout\Preload 3. Double click on 1 and change the number to your local layout (you could get this by looking at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Keyboard Layout\Preload1). Click OK 4. You may also change HKEY_USERS.DEFAULT\Control Panel\International\Locale to this value however it is not mandatory to do so. 5. Logoff and then on again
In the language settings, you have English, then "QWERTY" and "DVORAK" after you save it, and/or set DVORAK as default, you should be able to remove QWERTY. but it has to be after you add DVORAK.
