I’m not sure I should post this on Linux or Windows forum but it’s about windows activation so I thought to post it hare rather than Linux forum.
Basically what would to know, is how will Windows 7 and Windows 10 will behave when host os (linux) get re-installed, and let say I only save xml config files where all configuration is stored. Would that be enough to activate those installs again or I’ll need get other licences?
The xml config file contains machine UUID, network card mac address and other stuff but is it enough to work? Is there anything else I should copy or setup the same?
In other hand what would happen if I change hardware to completely new set? Would that still work with those configurations? Let say I passthrough PCIex card, same on both machines. Or ever what would happen if I replace that only piece of hardware is available to the quest os?
