Windows 11 Freezing, No BSOD, No memorydump

Hello, For the last couple of days, whenever I boot the pc and use it for a couple of minutes, It completely freezes and I cant do anything other than Hard Restart. This has been fraustrating so far as there are no logs anywhere that can lead me to some leads.
So far what i have done are:

I deleted all my data and reinstalled windows fresh and it is still persisting
Checked RAM with memtest86, All pass and no errors
Checked the CPU, The paste and the pins are all fine
Checked the SSD for any errors, nothing

My system informations:

Windows 11 Pro Version 10.0.26100 Build 26100

RAM: 32GB

CPU: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core™ i5-13600K

MotherBoard: ROG STRIX B760-G GAMING WIFI D4

I can provide System logs from event viewer if that is of any help

How long have you had this CPU? You are aware of the CPU bug and subsequent permanent CPU degradation issue, right?

Your CPU is the most suspect. I would recommend filing a warranty request on that ASAP.

Another possibility is the GPU, but as of now, it’s the least suspect.

Source: Intel has known issues with 13th and 14th gen CPU’s. I have already had to RMA my 13600K.

Unfortunately not conclusive, but 13th gen are known to have issues. I would just file a warranty request with Intel here: Online Case Management Lightning

Its long enough, especially of you game a lot.

You don’t need proof, the CPU itself by Intel’s own admission is faulty. Get it replaced via RMA and then patch the firmware.

Outside of the known cpu issues 2 things come to mind to look and or try.

  1. Is windows or any other start on startup app trying to do any sort of an update (windows 22h1 to 22h2 to 23h1 to 24h2 are big install packages and can cause freezing)

  2. Have you tried booting into a linux live cd and seeing if the issue persists?

Booting from a live cd is non destructive to the installed windows or any of the partitions on the drive. Completely safe to do. Really no different than booting from the memtest x86 cd.

Flash drive will do as well. Been using cd for so long that it’s just my default

Use rufus to burn a single iso to a flash drive and your good to go.

Or just drop the iso onto a flash drive formatted with ventoy for the ability to add multiple isos to a single flash drive and automatic menu to boot from an indvidule iso file.

Got a laptop or a friends computer you get it setup on?

What SSD are you using?
Do you have this issue since Windows updated to 24H2?

What if the CPU was fine and you RMAed it for nothing?

Easiest would probably just plain old Ubuntu
