Windows 10 windows update and resetting windows issues

I'm working on a computer and it was experiencing BSOD with different error codes apparently this happened before but went away but it came back. The system also wont install three updates it downloads them and then tries to install them then it errors out. So I've tried sfc /scannow and DSIM and they also presented errors and didnt complete. I tried going in to safemode with networking still same thing so I figured well I can reset the system let it reinstall windows well that also doesnt work. It ether crashes at 8% or 53% and brings up a screen saying no changes have been made.

I was hoping maybe someone could point me in the right direction on how to fix this system. If it was mine I would just wipe the drive windows is installed and reinstall it but its not mine and I cant make that call with out them saying its ok so any other options would be better.

How are your device drivers looking ?

They look normal no errors

Did all the normal scans ? Making sure there are no viuses or malware ?

Yep, most that was on the system was tracking cookies which I got ride of. I even scanned the registry for errors and fixed the ones that came up.

Windows Event Viewer ? What does it have to say ? Try catching the BSOD codes as they will shorten the whole process.

Has a few errors in sources from Directory-Services SAM, Eventlogs, Kernel Power, BugCheck, Windows update client, kernel-general and service control manager as well as distributedCOM

What Hardware is this on ? Have you tried sfc scannow from a administators command prompt ? I know stupid question but sometimes you have to ask ?

The system is running on an AMD FX-8350 and has an Asus motherboard the OS is installed on a Samsung SSD it has 8Gigs of RAM

Yea I've tried. I even went as far as administrator in safe-mode, each times i ended up with different error codes

I know recently with my 8350 the latest june updates took out some of my drivers on my Saber. My USB 3.0 wifi audio drivers pertains more to people like me running older stuff with win ten but all that should show up in your device driver list. You might have scrub though the event viewer logs to figure out what all the errors pertain to. You might try reinstalling all your motherboard drivers. Hard to say without the looking at the logs themselves. Might even have somekind of hardware failure happening ? psu ram ect.. How are your temps ?

http://filehippo.com/download_driver-booster-free/ A short cut thats is not the best but it will save time. Just nuke after using.

Temps look alright for idle about 42C on the stock cooler. I'll try and reinstall motherboard drivers I know one of the RAM sticks may be going back memory check said there was a hard ware issues but I've taken it out

stock cooler at 42c at idle mmmm bad ram ?

It is at 4Ghz and an AMD chip so I assumed 42C was alright could that be an issue?

Kind of high for idle. Makes it possible that underload it gets too hot and crashes. A for instance......

What case is it in and how is your airflow ?

Might default your bios to load system optimized defaults

Ahh alright I'm not familiar with stock coolers on AMD chips so I wasnt sure what an ok temp was, I know when I first opened the system there was dust on everything like it haddent been cleaned since it was made but I'll see if the thermal compound is still good and dust out the cooler some more

the case has pretty poor airflow in my opinion, Its an old NZXT case has one 120 in the front at the bottom which has a drive cage in front of it then has a 120 on the side of the case on top of the GPU and one blowing air out the back of the case

I'll try and do that I'll see if its the latest bios version too while I'm at it.

Amd 8350 can easily swing 20 to 30 degrees from idle to load/heavy load so if your idle is 42c ? You could easily be overheating and crashing.

Yea probably so I just popped the cooler off and the thermal past isnt any good but what about windows update? I still cant get it to install three updates no matter what I do.

Did you use the driver booster ? See what that says about the state of your drivers even if you dont use it to download the updates. If it was me ? I would back up personal files pull all license keys with something like Belarc advisor and fresh install win ten. Then reinstall any programs they might have.

That is assuming that there are not any more hardware errors.

It said that the PCI ethernet driver was out of date, So I updated it then went to windows update but it still failed to download them gave an error code that tells me to use SFC /scannow
