Right I am holding off on the update from Win 7 for the time being and so was my brother. Until his PC decided to upgrade itself anyway! He swears he hasn't told it to change to 10. Now I'm unsure as to how this has happened but it has and for good measure he also in a fit of insanity shut down said computer in the middle of the upgrade. The PC now won't boot so muggings here has to try and repair the bloody thing. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions on how to sort this out other than a full windows 7 reinstall would be greatly appreciated.
If you stoped it 1/2 way you are going to need to wipe the hdd and reinstall
Go download the windows 10 iso and install? Bit silly to power it of half way through an update...
When mine failed the update "not due to power loss" upon rebooting it started reverting back to windows 7.
He should know better but he obviously doesn't! I didn't even think of the 10 iso i'll give that a whirl cheers.
