Windows 10 waking HDD on my NAS almost at random

I have a very simple ubuntu server smb share that I use as my NAS solution, which sleeps when not in use, however I have noticed that quite a few things will trigger it to wake up, namely File Explorer appears to access it when my PC reconnects after sleep or randomly when something like a save dialog is opened, but not always?

Does anyone know how to prevent windows from doing this or at least narrow down what is causing it? I did a couple searches, but most results either didn’t have a solution for my use case or were unrelated / fixes for more typical NAS devices like synology.
