I was wondering if anyone had tried this and if so how well did it work? I understand I should go to linux if I really want privacy and performance but for now I HAVE to use windows.

Hey, I assume that you looking for a privacy tool for windows 10. I haven't used that tool before but I did find an open source tool that is similar made by a reddit user. Its open source so you can take a look at what it actually does and compile it yourself if you want to.
There is a link on there to download the tool from GitHub and includes the source code.
