Quick question. I reserved a copy of windows 10 while on 8.1. Am I still reserved for it if I switch to the win 10 preview? Or is it locked to the 8.1 key/ or just this particular 8.1 installation?
Most likely not, but i can't really say. i wouldn't do it just to be safe. If you really want to try out windows 10 just run it in a virtual machine.
What I'm curious about is whether my "OEM activated" copy is going to get an actual serial now or not. I'm just curious because what if I want to reinstall, will I have to purchase a key at that point if I don't use the software itself to do it?
