Alright so I did not see any other threads with what I've got over here, so here goes.

I've found a script that removes and shuts down a bunch of the junk that windows 10 has stock, here is the main thread.

It is all in plain text so you can go through it and see if you disagree with anything.

I've checked it out myself and saw nothing malicious and my windows 10 install has been behaving much nicer since running it.

How to debloat Windows 10:
1) Make bootable USB with Linux Distro of your choice
2) Boot into said USB
3) Install Linux
4) Enjoy

Sigh. I don't think people realize that there are programs that work on Windows and only exist on windows. So yeah, you can run Linux as a hobby but in your professional life you have no choice.

I don't think you understand what the script does, and that website you linked is way too basic for what I'm sharing here.

If you have control over your OS, then not using microsoft is a perfectly viable options.

Looking at the script.. theres something like 50 unique microsoft tracking domains being blocked there :/

It is unreal how much tracking goes on in windows 10, I really want to switch to linux but gaming is holding me back. As soon as Linux has better gaming compatibility, or I buy a cheap gpu for PCI passthrough I'll make a full switch.

Unreal enough not to use it. :) Plus they are highjacking 8 and 7. Looks like Vista is it.

I like my approach more--not using it. :)

I agree. At the end of the day, I kicked it to the curb. It is just not worth the effort of trying to gain control of it. It can't be trusted.

The script runs perfectly! It even removes onedrive from the explorer menu! It's truly fantastic. I was a bit worried about using it because it's from /g/ but everything seems to work so far!

Sadly I can't just not use windows like you guys, all of my productivity apps are in windows and I reallly need the multiple desktop features of 10. I think with this script things will be bearable in windows.
