Win a MIONIX AVIOR Gaming Mouse

Here is the MIONIX AVIOR: https://teksyndicate.com/videos/mionix-avior-8200-ambidextrous-gaming-mouse-overview

Here is how you win:

Name a feature that you never (or rarely) see on a mouse that you would really like to see on a gaming mouse. Feel free to be as detailed as you like.

I will select a winner after a week and announce it on The Tek. I will only consider real entries, meaning you have to give an answer.

-The ability to raise of lower the mouse to fit one personal preference of comfort.

-Modular side buttons. For and example say your where playing an FPS and only wanted 2 side buttons but then wanted to play a moba or rts and have a number pad similar to the Naga. Possible a small screw/switch to drop out the side buttons and replace with what you want.

Maybe something that could raise or lower graphic settings on the fly . Might be useful when a ten man fight turns into a hundred man fight . Hey , it happens . Be able to lower the settings as the enviroment starts filling up with people to help reduce lagging out .

Bottle opener nuff said.

Edit: But seriously, a BIG mouse that I would be able to palm grip comfortably would be nice.

i wish gaming mice came with more modular components. sorta like that Cyborg's Rat 7 mouse except instead of being able to just adjust size, you can switch out components like mouse buttons ( thinking cherry mx) and maybe even the laser module, single or dual laser, detachable usb/ps2 cable so you can replace, or use a different one (different lengths, materials, sleeves). this is great way i think to make one model at almost every price point with the abilty to upgrade components.

A ring finger rest like the CM storm xornet not many have it but I really like having it when using a fingertip grip.

Changable palm rests . Different sizes and shapes and materials . Make it more like something you rest your hand on verses than something you grip . Something that also uses all your fingers verses three or four of them .

I would like to see a mouse that has replaceable parts kind of like what people have said before, like a detachable cord so you can just get a new cord if part of it gets messed up or broken so that you don't have to buy a brand new mouse. And either larger palm rests or something that attachs to the palm rest to make it bigger, or making it smaller either way, just some way to make the mouse fit more hands rather than some generic base hand the mouse is made for.

-A thick mould-able gel  that would would shape itself to your grip would probably be pretty cool, it wouldn't be very practical, or probably even doable, but still a pretty cool idea I think.

-"cooling" This one's pretty much stolen from my friends Ps3 controller, but there would be a switch/sensor that would activate a fan/some other form of cooling your hand to keep your hands from getting sweaty in the middle of a game(not actually sure if that's a problem, but seems like a good idea).

-Vibration, just like a Ps3/Xbox controller-might be quite bad if you're resting your mouse on a hard surface, but maybe some fancy 'suspension' could remedy this?

-Interchangeable wireless-wired, this could work by having the cable to the mouse unplugged and replaced with a small transmitter, and then the cable to the Pc replaced with a reciever, this might be a bit tricky/fiddly, but could be a very useful feature(not sure if this already exists).

I would love to see separate parts for mice, meaning that one could take the mouse apart and replace the parts to enhance the experience. Maybe somebody could attach a thumb rest and adjust it to their liking, or maybe attach a cover to the top if their mouse if their hand is too big and they'd like to make the mouse taller and wider to grip it with their entire hand.

It would also be cool to see mice specifically molded for the hand, with slight indentations to make it comfortable for somebody to hold. Maybe there could just be sizes and shapes that you can choose from if enough people vote on it and would buy it. It's hard to tell which mouse would be the best for each hand, it could display the exact size on the monitor so that one could put their hand near the display to see the size.

on-the-fly DPI switching. those with the G700 and G700s know what i'm talking about. most mice that have switchable DPI setting have the switch under the mouse, bit I find that it can be handy to have a higher DPI in some situations within games, but lower is better in many others. you can't really take the time to flip over your mouse to change the DPI, so it's not on-the-fly, as I see it.

alot of others say cooling, but personally, my mouse doesn't get warm. my keyboard on the other hand...

LED's might be ok, if done right.

A feature i've never seen on a mouse? A touch pad or a scroll wheel where your thumb would rest on the mouse (but a little lower) that would control the temperature of your mouse. You swipe (or scroll) side to side to change the temp of your mouse. Say, left was colder and right was warmer.

I think that would be awesome if you were gaming in a room with poor temperature control to help your hands from getting too hot/cold.

Let the fun begin for the next 1000 posts :D

I would love a way to make the buttons extra "clicky". Kinda like keyboard switches on a mouse.

I personally never use the ability to turn my Razer Deathadder up to 6400dpi. To fast for me.

Ventilated palm rest. My hands get very sweaty while playing and I'd like to see more mice with at least a passive vent. Active ventilation would be awesome though.

A beard trimmer. Gaming in style, always. Also: this would save space when traveling (since you don't need to bring your regular trimmer) and could function as force feedback. cheers!

I always thought it might be a cool idea that you could add a mini touchscreen monitor attached to the front of the mouse that could display your radar in game for FPS or your inventory/quick access menu for RPGs. You could even customize it to to show your CPU and GPU temps and usage, it could also show how many times you have clicked. Really you could choose what it shows in whatever games or programs you want. I understand the problem with it would be weight and balance of the mouse with a mini screen on the front, but I think it would be really helpful for some professionals who use trackball mice and may not have to move the mouse around a lot and can have quick access to utilities in the programs they use. Or if you travel a lot you can use it, as a number pad, to make traveling easier.

Funny thing is, good sensors. Only a small minority of mice feature optical sensors without any acceleration, angle snapping, low lift-off-distance and high perfect control speed. Most of modern gaming mice are just a sets of useless gimmicks with 9000 DPI low precision laser sensors.

My perfect mouse would have those features and currently there are no mice that fit this description:

  • High-quality optical sensor like the one on Zowie AM.
  • Optical wheel encoder with hyperscroll (a rare feature, BTW). Mechanical wheel encoders are cancer
  • Large body with ergonomic shape like G400, as light as possible.
  • Built-in memory for storing presets. I don't want having to run software to use all features of the mouse or set custom DPI values.
  • Indicator on the body that shows current DPI preset with bars and current macro preset with their color.
  • High quality cable, special care should be made to ensure that the place where it enters the body is as reliable as possible. Detachable cable is also an option.
  • Mouse should be bundled with an extra pair of feet and a simple cable management device

What I don't want to see in my perfect mouse (I can tolerate that but mouse wouldn't be 10/10):

  • Weights
  • Any kind of backlight
  • Big logos or logos placed in the middle of the body. Logo should be small stylishly placed
  • Screws under mouse feet. That's just evil.

I hope I didn't forget anything.

I would love to see a 3D right (thumb, or left) button.

It's really simple. You can click down (like usual) but then you can click to the right, left, and up! This seems more intuitive than having a grid on a 2D surface.
