Win 8x64 random crash

So i had a random crash with the cause of a bad pool header.

The problem is on a dell inspiron 15r, specs:

i3 3110m

6gb ddr3

7670m

1tb hd

standard win 8

After I had this bsod I rebooted and  my catalyst control centre stopped working along with dell audio.

I check who crashed and it came up with NTOSKRNL.exe and it said it was likely caused by a driver issue rather than bad ram. I got this bsod randomly and now I have these problems.

I looked on windows event viewer and I got an error of mmc could not create the snap in. The snap in may be incorrectly installed.

For many of my programs like games crash a few seconds after I attempt to open them, they dont appear on the screen but when i look in task manager i can see it stops.

I have no idea what is wrong.

I have tried reinstalling ccc with no luck. I also tried a sfc scannow and it fixed some errors but said it could not fix some.

I have school coming up soon and want to make sure that my computer will be fully functional by that time so i dont have problems when trying to work.

If i am missing anything you need to help me tell me and i will get it asap

TIA -Logic

That looks like the kernel has some data errors, NT OS KERNEL speaks for itself.

Probably a reinstall is the only solution.

Don't worry about it too much, this kind of thing is completely normal in Windows...

Would a refresh fix the nt os kernel?

If not am i safe to backup my programs and restore them after a full reinstall?

I have mcafee Security centre will I be able to download this again after or would it work straight from a backup

TIA

Also no offence zoltan but does anyone have a second opinion before i reinstall my entire os?

Lol no offense taken mate, I'm not a huge Windows specialist by any stretch of the imagination. You should probably ask Microsoft support directly though, after all, you've paid for that.

Maybe the repair function of the install dvd would fix the kernel, I have no idea how that goes with Windows, and frankly, since it's closed source software and illegal to even look at the kernel, nobody else but Microsoft can answer your question. We're all just guessing.
