I am wondering if anyone has been able to nail down the details about some of the features of Ryzen Pro being included in this first round of Threadrippers? I am mostly interested in secure virtual machine SVM but no details listed about it on AMD’s Threadripper specs page. I did notice they list full support for ECC so I’m hopeful. I can’t imagine them releasing the top tier desktop CPU without SVM. Let’s hope three months from now we don’t see Threadripper PRO announced. I’m still a little salty about buying a R7-1700X at launch and then getting word of Ryzen Pro coming soon.

probably some on, some off. HEDT almost never gets the full complement, but it’ll have more than AM4
I’ve asked the same question on the AMD community forum so we’ll see what they’ll let loose. The reviews will be out soon enough but it’s been a nagging question since I first started looking into Threadripper for a small office server replacement.
No it will not… Threadripper will never see this… It’s just like Intels x series vs xenon… However epyc will and there will be no epyc pro.
Epyc will serve the server market… Ryzen pro will deal with the professional workstation environment
