Will This Work On A 7870?

Will this 6-pin splitter work? http://www.amazon.com/APEVIA-PCI-E-splitter-Express-converter/dp/B00BBIQTBO/ref=sr_1_5?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1374888937&sr=1-5&keywords=6+pin+splitter

My PSU only has one 6-pin cable I used to use it on my 7770 but now I need a splitter I bought one already but it didn't work, this is the one that didn't work

PS I need the splitter for this card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202025

Absolutely not, do not try to split a PCI-e power cable into 2 parallel circuits, you will fry your PSU. Get a 4-pin molex to 6-pin PCI-e connector adaptor, those are safer to use. Just make sure you have nothing else attached to that string of molex wires coming from your PSU.

Your video card should come with one but if you have a good psu use a mole to pci

Thanks for the advice however I can't find a Molex cable on my PSU

Might be time to upgrade your PSU then: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817159129
