Hi, I need to find out this this graphics card will work for my pc http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=559&item_id=043138 my pc is a hp DC 5750 SFF
It probely would, yes, but that GPU is so old, and isen't really any good
I second Cookie - it's not a great card, not really worth the money.
ok, what would you recommend i only have a 240 watt power supply
thx for ur help :)
a link for my pc model
Yeah you are going to have to really check what will fit in there. Have you opened it and measured it? The other issue is that the low system memory and CPU will likely bottleneck even a pretty modest GPU upgrade.
If there is any way of squeezing an NVIDIA GT series in then that will have to do. My mother has a GT220 in her desktop and I played New Vegas on it without too much of an issue (when the game was new, it's really the only thing I've played on her PC).
I got the card today and it's great. I also have 2 gigs of ram. Thx Grey Strix for ur help :)
You would need a low profile card to be able to fit a graphics card into your PC. I had the same issue when I used to have an HP computer similar to that. But honestly, they're really not worth upgrading.
No worries Tony. Glad you're happy!
GreyStrix, Do you think 2 Gb or Ram is adquate or should i get an extra gig, a friend of mine is selling my 1 Gb of ram for 10 bucks.
These days 4gb is really what you want as a minimum. And you should always be running sticks in multiples of two, so having 3 dimms in there doesn't really make sense. Either have two 2gb dimms, or four 1gb dimms.
grey i need anoyher tip of advice .... do you think its a good idea to return my card and get this one http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=43_557_558&item_id=038372
