Steam already has a Twitch partnership for promotionals and such, and with the rising trend of streaming gameplay, I wonder if Valve has considered building a Streaming tool built into the Steam UI. They already have low-level access to your Twitch account, what much more would they need to access your stream key and maybe get OBS to aid in building an easy to use user-customizable streaming software?

possible, but i prefer a standalone streaming software. more flexible, and better features.
Yeah, I do too, but if Valve were smart with it, it would be like having something like OBS in the Steam Software section freeware, or something for people who don't want to tinker with their streaming and do something like the way PS4 has their streaming. Makes for good competition with how Valve wants to take over the living room's gaming concept.
