The motherboard will be fine for you, but it might not overclock as well as a 990fx board.
If you get the version of the MOBO that isn't LE than you'd OC better.
the le version has a few less heatsinks (on the vrms and maybe another), i've heard of them burning up at stock loads
yes the Asus M5A97 R2.0 is a better board.
