Will my CX500 Explode? PSU Recommendations?

I began with a budget build, and the CX500 was doing just fine. But now I have upgraded some components, and I think I am pushing my power supply too much now. So I began my rig like this,

FX 4300.........................................now an FX 8350 4.4ghz with Push Pull H60 watercooling

Corsiar Vengeance 4gb................. now 8gb(4x2), 16gb SOON

Asus micro atx baord..................... now an ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 AM3+ AMD 990FX

WD HDD Green 1tb....................... added a WD 500gb 7200rpm, 120gb Samsung Evo SSD, & an External 500gb HDD USB 3.0

........................................................Sapphire 7870 Edition 1150/1350

Then my lovely CX500 that somehow is surviving.

Question #1: Should I be concerned of this PSU blowing up? What whats the worst that can happen? When gaming CPU is @50-80% GPU @90%+ usage

Question #2: I am going with a 7870 crossfire, or 280x (still deciding). Which PSU should I upgrade too? How many watts? AMPS?

Question #3: An FX 9590 may be considered in the future... o.O

extreme.outervision.com recommends a 502psu on full load.....

As is, 500 watts should be fine. For just about any standard single card setup. Anyways,

1. The absolute worst that could happen would be for it to start splitting atoms and wiping out your computer and the surrounding countryside, but that's unlikely to happen. Other than that it's usually capacitors popping and stuff if something fails. You're computer would shut off and you'd probably notice it pretty quick if something broke.

2. Crossfiring 7870s you'd probably want to move up to a 750 watt PSU. A single R9 280X would work with a 650 watt PSU.

3. An FX 9590 is pointless for gaming, but if you get one you'll probably want at least an additional 100 watts on top of whatever you decide for #2.

No offence to anybody, but 220 watts for a processor is just stupid.

that CX500 is totaly fine for a single gpu setup.

If you wanne go CF then yes its better to buy a 750W or 850W psu.

FX8350 is totaly fine for gaming. for gaming its not realy worth it, going with a FX9590. you can overclock a FX8350 to 4.5GHZ very easaly. and that will perform rouchly the same as the FX9590. only in streaming and rendering, a FX9590 would be a littlebit better. But not worth the price diffrence, in my opinnion.
