Will LGA1150 CPU Coolers be Compatible with Upcoming Skylake socket LGA1151?

Title says it all... I am looking at getting some items together for a
upcoming build (CPU cooler and case fans..) but want to check
compatibility. I plan on building a PC spring/summer of 2016... and
some items are on sale. Will a current LGA 1150 CPU Cooler CPU Cooler I'm looking at
be compatible with the upcoming skylake socket (LGA 1151)? I assume
that it will not be compatible... barring additional mounting hardware,
but just wanted to check.

A video from Tek Syndicate Computex Skylake MOBO Video
looks at some Skylake MOBO's... Logan says "same socket" around the
0:55 mark.... I don't really have much (any) experience with LGA1150
boards.... looking at the first board they look at, would you say that
is the same spacing for holes on MOBO?

thanks for input

Well, most coolers are adjustable, and even come with compatibility brackets. My educated guess is that it will depend on the cooler itself, and worse case scenario you'll have to look into ordering a compatible bracket. So I wouldn't be too concerned.

Pretty sure all the 115X socket types have the same cooler mount.
That's why intel uses the socket still, to keep everything to a standard to save money on redesigning everything all the time.
The amount of pins change because they don't want people to break their motherboard/cpu by putting in a incompatible cpu.
